What happens when your job involves a lot of sitting and waiting for a call, sitting and waiting around at airports and on trains, sitting and waiting around in chairs, getting your hair pulled and face prodded?
You and your kindle get a whole lot of time together. And me and mine are pretty tight.
I’ve always loved reading. Yes, there was that one time that Mum will never let me forget when 8-year-old me told her I thought reading was for nerds. But I’ve grown since then. Mum remembers that comment so well, I presume because it devastated her as an avid book lover and midnight reader. I have turned out much the same.
Reading slaps.
So, if you also enjoy reading and especially if you’re a fellow kindler (the book turnover is much improved, you’re welcome Bezos), here’s a list of the books I’ve read over the last few years and my thoughts on them.
WARNING!
Please bear in mind that my ratings and thoughts are entirely subjective and very much dependent on the place I was in whilst reading each book. My being completely in love and romance adjacent to my life up to now has much to do with my harshness about that kind of book and avoidance of that genre.
Here’s the link to my titf book recos Excel spreadsheet.
Also, check out the GSBC bookstagram I run with my long distance pals Lily and Lucy @globalsocialbookclub for reading, writing and rambling all over the globe.

yours truly and ggracelessly,
grace ❤
